A Relatively Close Fly-by Has Some Folks worried

Comet Elenin will be close to Earth around October 17, about 0.232 Astronomical Units.

There is a school of thought that the Mayan calendar actually ends October 18, 2011, so this comet's close approach (~34.7 million miles) works well with that interpretation.
