The 4th World is disintegrating, the 5th World Emerging.

The prophecies are all in place. The time is now. The place is here. The 4th World is disintegrating, Turbulence lies ahead, and the 5th World is Emerging.

Just 148 Years ago, Abraham Lincoln was elected President of the United States.

One in seven people in the U.S. were blacks in the chains of slavery.

Today Barack Hussein Obama, a black man, was elected President of the U.S., the only nation in the history of Planet Earth that could have made such a transition.

We are all proud to have witnessed the peaceful transition of power from one ruling party to another without violence.

It was a time for Change, and even Obama probably has no idea of the extent of the change that is coming as we glide into the 5th World.

Late in the campaign Senator John McCain received a notable endorsement, one that got little play on Fox News: Osama bin Laden, who said that it would be much easier to recruit Al Quaeda terrorists with a short-tempered, reactionary old white man at the American helm. It will be much more difficult to recruit terrorists to fight against a young multiracial man, with middle name Hussein, whose African father was Muslim, who was raised in part in Indonesia. the most populous Muslim nation on Earth, a man who is wildly popular around the world. And so Peace comes to the Earth.

When guru-economist extraordinaire, Alan Greenspan, admitted under oath that he had got it very very wrong, that the free market, left to itself does NOT in fact lead us all safely to prosperity, but now has terrified the entire planetary economy, the collapse of the 4th World Paradigm was close at hand, and the drubbing of the Republican party across all cross sections of the electorate spoke loudly to the universal cry for Change, a cry that the Obama campaign is answering, a cry heard round the world.

The turbulent years prior to 2012 have been prophesized by many faiths, religions, and traditions from the ancient Hopis and Mayans to the End-of-Time Christians. Each sees it a little differently. None of them will call it exactly right, as we are all human and influenced by our cultures. The Native American prophecies, for example, seem to predict a war with China, but that traditional interpretation might need revision. Since WWII, the "wars" have become increasingly economic, rather than military. The U.S. usually wins the military contests, but economically, it has largely lost the new world war to China and India, conceding to China the manufacturing dominance that allowed it to win WWII, and conceding to India its corner on services, leaving only the now-shaky financial sector as its primary strength. The predicted war may already have been fought, and the U.S. may already have lost. The prophecies may not have been too far wrong.

What is clear is that we are now in the transition to the 5th World, even if our leaders may never have heard that term, and Barack Obama is our global leader for the transition. He may not be the Second Coming of Christ or Maitreya or even anything more than a mixed-race intelligent, sensitive man, but he is what he have, and it is an enduring hallmark of this great country that after the raucus 2008 election we can all close ranks and assist the new administration to get us all through the difficult times ahead.

After 9/11 George W. Bush had an opportunity to unite the world, but instead he chose to invade a country that had nothing to do with 9/11, a country that had better targets than Afghanistan, and oil. He chose to push neo-conservatism into the world, and he tried to dominate the world with a new American empire. The consequences were that the American image got sullied, Americans became hated around the world, the budget fell into deep deficit, the economy is in ruins, and the bottom is not yet in sight. Millions are out of work, or forced out of their homes. It is a real mess. A deep hole.

But just as Christians owe Judas Iscariot credit for enabling the crucifixion, without which the Christian church would not exist, so George W. Bush needs to be given credit for pushing so many millions of people around the planet out of their catatonic lethargy and into action on behalf of a better world, the emerging 5th World. Thank you, George.

The 5th World is the long-prophesized better way of living on Earth, a configuration of Peace rather than war, Love rather than fear, Equitable access to the benefits of civilization rather than excessive accumulation of wealth and power in the hands of a few, Sustainable energy systems rather than the final exhaustion of all finite fossil resources of the Earth, Stewardship of this fragile planet rather than its meciless destruction for profit, and Cosmic awareness rather than pointless suppression of the overwhelming evidence that we are not alone in the Universe. This is where we are headed. This is the destiny of Planet Earth.

"It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get to where we are today, but we have just begun. Today we begin in earnest the work of making sure that the world we leave our children is just a little bit better than the one we inhabit today.... Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. " -- Barack Hussein Obama 2008

And this from Barack's cousin Malik in Kenya:

"It makes you wonder. Is this some force at work, the dynamics of nature or life? Is it God? We divided the world after 9/11. And the world said No. And through my brother, we can all connect again."
